Welcome to Blackwood Bowling & Community Club
New members soon discover that Blackwood Bowling Club offers a great deal more than a perfect hills environment to play lawn bowls.
Our three synthetic greens are open all year for social bowls and we field various men’s, women’s and mixed teams in the local pennant competition.
The club has two accredited coaches who can provide the necessary skills training to improve your game.
While we strive to win on the greens, social activities are a key part of the club’s success. When the bowling stops a post-game drink can be enjoyed in our refurbished clubrooms and bar.
Dinners and social events are held regularly inside the club and outside in our new entertainment area.
So if you are looking for a sport that is enjoyable and a club that is welcoming, then the Blackwood Club is the place to be.
Blackwood Bowling Club currently has 5 Saturday Open Gender teams, 2 Thursday Ladies teams and 3 Wednesday Mens teams. If you are interested in playing bowls competitively there ios a good chance we have a team playing at your current level. We have two accredited coaches who can provided skills training to all new and current pennant players.
Blackwood Bowling has a very active Social Bowls program and we welcome all new comers - whether you're experienced or a novice. Please select Social Bowls from the menu above for further details.
Night Owls are conducted each Tuesday and Wednesday from mid October until mid March. It is a great introduction to the sport of lawn bowls and it is conducted in very relaxed and friendly atmosphere that you and your friends and family are sure to enjoy. Social Bowls (Updated August 14) -
Our winter social bowls program finished on Saturday 6 September2025 and will return April 2026
Our Monday Summer social bowls program returned on 8 September 2025. Games start at 12:30pm and players are asked to be at the club by 12 noon. Select Social Bowls from the menu above for full details.
Greens Availability (Updated 18 September)
All greens are now available for use. However, please remember that if a green/s have a "Closed" sign placed on them, it overrides any notification posted here.
